Johathan Jr was married to Harriet Van Schoonhoven Thorne and her sister, Phebe, was married to Jonathan's brother, Samuel. Harriet was an avid photographer and many of the family photos below and in the other photo albums were taken by her. Over 300 of Harriet's photographs can be seen online at the Connecticut Historical Society Museum & Library .
